Rediscover Fitness is all about you! It’s about your physical and your mental health. I know what it takes to get healthy, because I have been on the same journey.
Hello, my name is Lisa, and I am a Trauma Informed Personal Trainer. I’m here to help you make the journey to health. I have been in the fitness industry for 17 years and I am the areas expert in injury recovery and rehabilitation for baby boomers, seniors and everyone in-between.
When I started working out, I never expected to become a personal trainer. I loved discovering what my body could do and how strong I could be. I loved how the strength training gave my brain a break, and how better eating habits helped me have more positive thoughts about everything. Soon, I wanted to pass my joy onto others. I became a coach and a massage therapist to help people into the experience of a strong and healthy life.
Over the years I have worked as a group exercise instructor teach spinning, step , High Intensity and yoga/pilates classes. I then moved into coaching Crossfit and on to one on one training. What I really wanted, however, was to help people at home who are recovering from surgery, or injury and need help with continuing on with their physical therapy home work. I also have a soft spot for those who have trouble getting to the gym due to mental blockers, low self-image, anxiety, young children, or busy schedules.

My Philosophy
A healthy, vital life is not about a dress size or looking like someone on a magazine cover. I want to help you move well, deal with life stresses better, feel good about yourself and bring you to a higher level of functioning.
In training alone, many people make the mistake of moving into heavy weights or high intensity cardio too soon. They end up hitting the wall, and losing motivation. They run the additional risk of injury when they try to build muscle before their tendons and ligaments are ready. Muscle development should build on tendon development, which builds on ligament and bone development.
My philosophy is for you to learn the movements, improve balance, increase mobility & flexibility first, so you can move well. Then, bump up your intensity and the volume as you progress. Then, build muscle, beginning with light weights. Don’t tax out one system by working it out all the time and avoiding other systems. And no scary equipment. You can have a full body workout at home. You will see and feel results through intervals, strength training and corrective exercises.
Last, it’s okay if you fall off the wagon; you just have to get back on. I’m here to help you do it!
